Photos from several decades of a tourist's travels
(filename: TripPhotos.htm)
I have been extremely lucky in the travel I have been able to do. Here is a "menu" of reports with photos on some of the beautiful things I've seen, many of which I found interesting.
But, just before I give you the links to my trip photos, I'd like to give you a link to a particularly fine essay (with photos) about someone else's excellent trip reports... Kate Dernocoeur.com (That will open in a new tab. Just close that to get back to here.) The one you'll go to is about meeting golden eagles with their masters in Mongolia. Another page of hers that I recommend is her page describing a New York, USA to Southampton, England on Cunard's Queen Mary II. The last of the ocean liners... most assuredly not a "cruise ship".
(Pages will open in a new tab or window.)
A wedding and a birthday- Deva, Romania, July 25: A trip very different from the others here... a wonderful time
as a guest of a local family for major celebrations.
Atlantic Islands, April 25: Another great trip with who also took me to Svalbard. (See below.) It is the descendant of
Lars-Eric Lindblad's company. In 1969 he started what led to today's sea-based tourism in the Antarctic.
Croatia and Slovenia, April 24: Another great trip with Odysseys Unlimited... and
another "just started" trip report.
India, November 23: My third trip to India. And I cannot go back too soon! Odysseys Unlimited gave us
an outstanding trip with one of the best tour directors I have ever encountered. I recommend Odysseys Unlimited
highly. My page (link starts this paragraph) does not do the trip justice, but may amuse or inform.
