(filename: OptoCouplerCalcs.htm)

Very early days for this page! Lots of work needed. Sorry!

(Needs robots out)

Here we go... You may need to scroll down a bit, to get below the Adsense panel.

This page is a study in how you select the resistors for an Opto-coupler (opto-isolator) circuit. The basic principles of optocoupler circuits are not complex... But given all the things that can be different from one need for an optocoupler and another, you may need help with figuring out the "right" values (resistances) for the resistors in the precise circumstances you find yourself in.

The following goes through how I worked out the answers to those questions in a case where I needed to set up an optocoupler circuit....

If you found this of interest, please mention in forums, give it a Facebook "like", Google "Plus", or whatever. If you want more of this stuff, help!? There's not much point in me writing these things, if no one feels they are of any use.

Why does this page cause a script to run? Because of the Google panels, and the code for the search button. Also, I have my web-traffic monitored for me by eXTReMe tracker. They offer a free tracker. If you want to try one, check out their site. Why do I mention the script? Be sure you know all you need to about spyware.
