Santorini....

-

Santorini was breathtaking... to me for the geology. Yes, since being discovered by the jet set, not so long ago, the people have developed a very pretty tourist enclave on the eastern rim of the caldera, but it is the geology that gave them the chance. The photo on the left below represents faithfully... in most respects... one group's luncheon situation, on a covered deck, suspended above the cliff.

I think you may be amused by the story behind the photo. The inset at the right shows the two photos the main photo was created from. Neither "true" photo really tells the story. The manipulated product, while "not true", tells the story more faithfully, I think. Can you spot the deliberate mistake which gives away the fact that the big photo is "faked"? (Apologies to the group member who got lost in the merge process.) And the thing that is misrepresented is the width of the table. It was adequate, but not as sumptuous as the photo shows!
