Entry onto Peloponnese... Corinth Canal...

Corinth Canal

With all of the amazing amazing things Tauck took us to, the poor old canal might have been pushed off the "menu"... but I, for one, was delighted that we stopped at the canal, took a moment to marvel at this amazing feat of engineering. It has fascinated me for years, and did not disappoint "in the flesh".

NE Peloponnese

Glorious drive through some serious hills.

Sanctuary of Asklepios at Epidaurus (UNESCO World heritage Site)

theatre at Epidaurus

Be very glad that I have lots more subjects to get into these pages... I have many pictures of the magnificent theatre at Epidaurus, and could get distracted into doing too many of them!

I've done a sub-page with more about our visit to the sanctuary of Asklepios at Epidaurus, and related matters.

Nauplia....

There's some variation in how the name is spelt, but a rose by any other name would smell as sweet. I'm talking about the delightful town at 37°34' N, 22° 48' E, in the Peloponnese, at the top of the gulf 25 miles SSW of the Corinth Canal!
